RESTES è un progetto che non si limita a una semplice rielaborazione di materiali di scarto, ma si propone come una vera e propria indagine sul concetto di "avanzo" nell'era contemporanea.
I materiali utilizzati diventano reperti di un'archeologia del quotidiano, testimonianze di un consumo di massa che viene reinterpretato e valorizzato.
La lampada RESTES diventa così un oggetto che mette in mostra questi "resti archeologici" della contemporaneità, donando loro una nuova vita e un nuovo significato. Il paralume in carta, ottenuto dalla trasformazione di rotoli di cartone, diventa una sorta di stratificazione temporale, un palinsesto di segni e tracce che raccontano la storia del materiale.
RESTES is a project that is not limited to a simple reworking of waste materials, but is proposed as a real investigation into the concept of "leftovers" in the contemporary era.
The materials used become finds of an archaeology of everyday life, evidence of mass consumption that is reinterpreted and valorized.
The RESTES lamp thus becomes an object that showcases these "archaeological remains of contemporaneity", giving them a new life and a new meaning. The paper lampshade, obtained from the transformation of cardboard rolls, becomes a sort of temporal stratification, a palimpsest of signs and traces that tell the story of the material.
