“A Siena l’acqua è da sempre simbolo di ingegno e comunità, basti pensare a quello che è stato creato per poter approvvigionare la città d’acqua con la creazione dei bottini e delle fonti cittadine, per poi passare alle fontane delle 17 Contrade, elemento distintivo e vitale all’interno dei rioni. Però nel costruire le proprie periferie a Siena l’elemento della fontana si perde e forse così si perde anche un elemento di identità per un luogo. Da qui l’idea di portare la presenza dell’acqua all’interno della piazza, ma senza necessariamente avere una fontana anche per evidenti complicazioni tecniche.”

L’idea dell’opera di Marco Barazzuoli nasce dall’osservazione del luogo e della città e dalla necessità di trovare un elemento che potesse unire le quattro associazioni e realtà in dialogo con l’artista: MondoMangione, Officina Solidale, La Botteghina Mad e Gamestorm Siena.
Considerate le unicità di ogni soggetto, è stato individuato un elemento che non fosse descrittivo di ognuna ma che potesse racchiudere simbolicamente le loro nature diverse, un elemento di creazione e unione ideale, come quello dell’Acqua

" In Siena, water has always been a symbol of ingenuity and community. The idea for Marco Barazzuoli's work was born from observation of the place and the city, and from the need to find an element that could unite the four associations and organizations in dialogue with the artist: MondoMangione, Officina Solidale, La Botteghina Mad, and Gamestorm Siena.
Considering the uniqueness of each subject, an element was identified that was not descriptive of each one but that could symbolically enclose their different natures, an element of creation and ideal union, such as that of Water.
